Plot

In the shadows of her husband's powerful family, Kim In Sook has existed unseen and disregarded for 18 long years. Her life as a spectral sister-in-law is marred by isolation and indifference, rendering her virtually invisible to those around her. Tragedy strikes when her husband perishes in a tragic helicopter accident, and her plight deepens as her ruthless mother-in-law seeks to strip her of her only son's guardianship. Emerging from the depths of her despair is Han Ji Hoon, a man from her past, now a lawyer working within the formidable JK clan. Witnessing her desolate predicament, he makes the conscious choice to aid her. His resolve crystallizes into a singular, compelling goal: to transform In Sook from a disregarded piece of flotsam into the Queen of the JK empire. Ji Hoon's path is strewn with challenges as he leads a perilous double life within the JK family, all with the aim of rescuing In Sook. Amidst his tireless efforts, he uncovers feelings for In Sook that go beyond mere gratitude or sympathy. She stirs in his heart a fervor he hasn't felt before, an emotion raw and untrained. And for her sake, he is willing to forsake it all.
