Rescue Me (2004)

As a firefighter who sifted through the wreckage of the World Trade Center, Tommy Gavin has seen dozens of people he knew die. It's been three years, and he struggles with his grief while trying to remain sober. He's stalking his wife in a desperate attempt to get closer to her and their kids, but there's also a building sexual tension between Tommy and the wife of his dead best friend. Being out in the field is dangerous, but it often feels safer than the regular world for someone as broken and conflicted as Tommy.
