In the pulsating heart of modern-day Los Angeles, we meet Michael Raines, a detective renowned for his brilliance but marked by his peculiarities. Raines has a unique way of solving murders - by making the victims his unlikely partners in crime-solving. These spectral presences are mere constructs of his own mind, a fact that Raines is acutely aware of. Yet, when he fails to dismiss these apparitions, he collaborates with them to unravel the truth behind their demise. Through this unusual dialogue, aided by concrete evidence, Raines' perception of the victim evolves, sharpening into a vivid illustration of the actual events. The visions cease only when justice is served, and the case is put to rest.
