Plot

In the icy shadow of the Alps, a grotesque tableau is discovered, a body gruesomely displayed on a mountain pass straddling the German-Austrian border. This chilling discovery instigates a tense collaboration between two fundamentally different detectives. Ellie, an ambitious German officer, sees this as her first true test of mettle, while her Austrian counterpart Gedeon, jaded and detached, appears to have relinquished his professional aspirations. The investigation swiftly spirals into a labyrinth of crimes, each scene eerily echoing pagan rituals, their victims contorted into symbolic poses. The detectives find themselves ensnared in a sinister larger scheme, orchestrated by a serial killer who assumes the persona of Krampus, a demonic folklore figure meting out punishment for society's transgressions. As the pressure mounts on Ellie to decipher the warped motivations driving the killer, the pursuit plunges them deeper into the dark heart of the Alpine valleys. Here, they encounter archaic customs that seem to mirror the paranoid world of the murderer. The hunt becomes an exploration not just of the crime, but of a land steeped in ancient rites and obscured by the shadows of towering peaks. "Pagan Peak" is a chilling tale of two disparate personalities bound by their pursuit of a deranged killer. As they navigate the eerie landscape and its arcane traditions, they are drawn further into the chilling mind of their quarry. Their journey is not just a race against time but a desperate struggle to understand the haunting echoes of past sins resounding through the present.
