Plot

In the shadowy realm between mortality and eternity, Nick Knight wrestles with a haunting past that stretches over eight centuries. A vampire by nature, Nick is burdened by a violent history. Now, he seeks redemption in the bustling metropolis of modern-day Toronto, serving as a homicide detective. His quest is a paradoxical struggle to reconnect with the humanity he lost while navigating the dark underworld he inherently understands. Nick isn't alone in his quest. By his side is the brilliant forensic Doctor Natalie Lambert, one of the few mortals privy to his supernatural existence. Her unwavering commitment to his cause provides a beacon of hope on his path towards mortality. His partner, Don Schanke, remains blissfully ignorant of Nick's dual life, but his growing frustration at Nick's uncanny ability to always be the first on the scene adds an edge to their friendship. The past, however, is an unshakeable specter. The enigmatic Lucien LaCroix, Nick's 2000-year-old master, continues to ensnare him in a web of torment and seduction. His presence in Nick's life, as the hypnotic radio host known as the Nightcrawler, serves as a constant reminder of the duality of his existence. Adding to this complex tapestry is Janette, a confidante from his past and a reminder of his eternal struggle. She sees his pursuit of humanity as a futile endeavour, yet her deep-seated affection for him compels her to offer support when his vampire instincts resurface. Forever Knight is a gripping tale of penance and redemption, where the lines between good and evil blur, and the quest for humanity becomes a labyrinth of choices. Nick Knight’s journey is an eternal struggle, a testament to the fact that life can be hell, but seeking forgiveness can be even worse.
