Plot
Emerging from an eight-year incarceration for a botched bank robbery, Frank Ross (Tom Bell, Prime Suspect) plunges back into his former underworld realm with a singular mission: to unmask the informer responsible for his imprisonment. Ross, a suave ex-convict, seamlessly slips into the disco-infused rhythm of the '70s, only to realize that while the landscape of his past may have evolved, the deep-seated grudges remain evergreen.
Brought to life with a razor-sharp intellect by Bell, Ross navigates this terrain of treachery, unafraid to flex his muscle or brandish a weapon when the situation calls for it. But can he smoke out the traitor without getting ensnared in the deadly web spun by a cold-blooded mafia don (Brian Cox, Rise of the Planet of the Apes) or the relentless detective (Norman Rodway, The Bretts) hell-bent on his downfall?
Set against the authentic backdrop of South London, Out paints a riveting picture of a world where grimy taverns, dilapidated apartments, and decaying office blocks are rife with luxurious living gangsters, desperate swindlers, and corrupt enforcers. BAFTA nominee Bell masterfully portrays Ross as a gangster besieged not only by tangible foes but also tormented by inner demons that threaten to consume him.
