Plot

In the profound aftermath of his wife Sarah's death, John West, played by Baldwin, undertakes a daring life transition; he whisks his three children away from their bustling urban existence in Boston and relocates to his serene, northern hometown, Turtle Island Bay. This is where he assumes a pivotal role, shouldering the responsibility of the local search-and-rescue service. As this fresh reality sets in, the West family finds themselves grappling with more than just their new environment and its challenges. Amidst the flurry of new friendships and a starkly different lifestyle, they grapple with the gaping hole Sarah's loss has left in their lives. In this emotionally charged landscape, their aunt, portrayed by Robertson, emerges as a beacon of strength and solace. She not only aids John and his children in navigating their grief but also deals with her own sorrow of losing her sister, all the while wrestling with her longing to start a family of her own. Northern Rescue, a heartfelt series from Don Carmody Television (DCTV), is the brainchild of David Cormican, Dwayne Hill, and Mark Bacci. With production unfurling in the picturesque locales of northern Ontario, the series is a soul-stirring exploration of love, loss, and healing, masterfully steered by the showrunner, David Cormican, and an ensemble of executive producers including Don Carmody, Dwayne Hill, Bradley Walsh, Billy Baldwin, and Mark Bacci.
