Adding to the chaos is the youngest son, Michael (Gabriel Thomson), an intelligent yet cynically humorous character who doesn't feel the necessity to bond much with his clueless father. The true queen of the Harper household is Susan (Zoë Wanamaker), a tour guide with culinary skills that leave much to be desired. Her decisive nature and innate curiosity serve as the driving force behind the family's amusing misadventures. The Harper family dynamics get even more complicated when naive and gullible Roger joins as Ben's dental assistant, and the scatterbrained Abby moves in, adding her own unique flavor to the mix.
