Plot

In the throes of 1997's economic turmoil, Kim Hyung Joon, a spirited entrepreneur, clings to his burgeoning cosmetics company, teetering on the brink of collapse under the weight of suffocating debts. The relentless pursuit of loan sharks casts an ominous shadow over his dreams, pushing him to devise a daring plan: to launch their groundbreaking foundation cream and catapult it into the limelight by sponsoring a contestant for the illustrious 'Miss Korea' pageant. However, the path to victory is strewn with challenges. Hyung Joon must navigate the cutthroat world of beauty pageants and convince a contender to side with his fledgling company. In this desperate pursuit, he turns to Oh Ji Young, his high school love, whose heart he shattered a decade ago, and who now stands before him with a life marred by dissatisfaction. Resentful and wary, Ji Young initially recoils from Hyung Joon's proposition. But as her own life seems void of purpose, she finds herself reconsidering his audacious plan. As they rekindle old flames and wrestle with their past, they must also face the daunting task of transforming Ji Young into 'Miss Korea', and in the process, save Hyung Joon's company from the jaws of bankruptcy. This captivating journey intertwines beauty, ambition, and redemption in a heartfelt exploration of love and survival against the odds.
