Plot

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Metro Park, New Jersey, the story follows Kannan and Kinjal, a newly wedded couple in their late twenties, on the cusp of parenthood. Leaving behind their compact New York City apartment, they venture into the heart of an Indian diaspora, prompted by their desire to be near Kinjal's sister Payal. Their tranquil life takes an unexpected, exciting turn as they find themselves entwined with a host of quirky, eccentric characters, each adding a unique flavor to their suburban Indian-American experience. In the lively epicenter of Metro Park, we meet Payal and her husband Kalpesh, the proud owners of an "American" convenience store, "Pay and Run". Kalpesh's ventures are as colorful as his personality, while Payal strives to maintain harmony between her family life and her blossoming beauty salon career. Metro Park is a pulsating microcosm of Indian culture, where neighbors are not just acquaintances, but extensions of one's family. Privacy is a foreign concept, replaced by communal living and shared experiences, which Kannan and Kinjal must adapt to. The series offers an intimate glance into the contrasting marital journeys of these two couples, as they navigate love, comedy, and inevitable drama, all under the influence of their unique environment. It is a delightful exploration of a typical Gujarati family, who, despite their transplantation to America, nurture their Indian roots, resulting in a charming blend of cultures. This heartwarming web series encapsulates the essence of family, love, and cultural identity, all bundled up in the bustling Indian enclave of Metro Park.
