Noelia's disappearance is the starting point for 'Malaka'. The young, lonely woman, lover of oriental mysticism and nature, is the daughter of Germán Castañeda, an important businessman in the area. Inquiries into his disappearance reveal unexpected connections and secrets. Gold, a new drug in the form of gold bullion, sparks the war between the gangs that run the drug trade. After fifteen years without putting a cake in her hometown, Inspector Blanca Gámez returns to Malaga to start working under the orders of Commissioner Esteban Sarabia, an old friend of her father. Blanca is assigned a partner: Darío Arjona, who has just rejoined the body after a few weeks of suspension for improper behavior.
