In the pulsing heart of 1871 Paris, amidst the allure and grit of a luxury brothel named 'Paradise', unfolds a tale of women ensnared by their circumstances. The naive and innocent Rose arrives in the city on a quest to find her former prostitute mother, but instead finds herself coerced into the bewitching but perilous world of Paradise. On the other hand, Vera, a seasoned courtesan of 35, feels the twilight of her career encroaching. She stakes her future on the Baron Du Plessis, her primary patron and potentially her ticket to freedom. Overseeing this tableau of desperation and hope is Hortense, the iron-willed proprietress of Paradise. She must protect her girls while fending off the incessant demands of a ruthless suburban gangster. Maison close weaves a rich tapestry of life and survival within the gilded cage of a brothel, where every woman is a prisoner of her own destiny.
