Love/Hate weaves a gritty tapestry of Dublin's shadowy underworld, where crime, addiction, and violence bloom in the wake of post-boom Ireland's decay. At its heart is Darren Treacy (Robert Sheehan), a man caught in the crossfire of his past and present. Escaping to Spain to shake off the chains of gun possession charges and the ever-watchful eye of the Garda, Darren finds himself drawn back to the dank alleyways of Dublin when his brother Robbie steps free from the iron gates of Cloverhill prison, only to be gunned down in a chilling drive-by shooting. This cataclysmic event sparks a powder keg of tension within the drug-stricken gang, a family forged in blood and crime. Darren, who yearned for a life away from the echoing gunfire and sinister whispers of the dark streets, finds himself ensnared once again in the teeth of the beast he tried to flee. The repercussions ripple outwards, tainting friends, family, and a community already teetering on the brink.
