Plot

Lilies stages a robust and poignant portrayal of the Moss sisters - Iris, May, and Ruby - navigating their way through life in a terraced house by the docklands, their world bound by Catholic faith. Set within the raw, post-First World War era, the narrative revolves around their struggle to keep their familial bond unbroken amidst the harsh reality of poverty. Their fortunes are intrinsically linked to their brother's destiny and their father's decisions. Their father, Dadda, a charismatic yet unpredictable figure, had been thrust into early adulthood by marriage and subsequent widowhood. His trials attempting to discipline his spirited brood oscillate between the heartwarming and the humorous. Lilies crafts a vivid, sensual, and at times, brutal world - where love, in all its forms, becomes the lifeblood for survival on the precipice of destitution.
