Lexx (1997)

In a universe governed by merciless tyrants, their potent essence transfers to their successors upon their demise, leaving their sentient brains stowed within a vault. Their most formidable asset is the Lexx, an omnipotent, mobile weapon of cosmic proportions, controlled exclusively by the bearer of the hand-key. The former key-holder annihilated the Brunen-G race, save for Kai, held in a forgetful, suspended animation, brought to life intermittently by proto-blood, to serve as a lethal assassin. In this complex panorama, we meet Stanley H. Tweedle, a disregarded clerk whose missed appointment brands him a felon. Simultaneously, in the dungeons, Zev, an overweight woman charged with failing her marital duties, is being metamorphosed into an alluring, slender love-slave. As the chaos ensues, the captured terrorist Thodin, scheduled for a public execution, breaks free and triggers a chain of events leading to Tweedle's inadvertent theft of Lexx and the hand-key, Zev's escape with her new form and the traits of a monstrous reptilian predator, and the release of Kai to fight off the terrorists before his memory rekindles. Together, Tweedle, Zev, a besotted robot head, Kai, and the purloined brains of the tyrants voyage in Lexx. Their mission is twofold: to decimate the planets of the oppressors in their pursuit of a haven in the Dark Universe, and to locate a source of proto-blood before Kai's life force depletes. This motley crew's chaotic journey through space promises a wild ride filled with adventure, danger, and a dash of romance.
