In an unforeseen twist of nature, the eastern coast of the United States is assaulted by a destructive force typically confined to the Pacific and Indian ocean rims following colossal earthquakes: devastating tsunami-like tidal waves. Renowned scientist and author, John McAdams, finds himself amidst an urgent national emergency conference. The discussion leads to the chilling conclusion that these disasters are not natural, but rather, manipulated by unseen hands, possibly exploiting the classified information from McAdams' secret past endeavor, the "Sea Lion project". But who would dare exploit such power, and for what purpose? As the waves of suspicion rise around him, John is swiftly ensnared in a web of deceit, framed for a murder he didn't commit and relentlessly pursued. Meanwhile, the wreckage left in the wake of the tidal waves paves the way for lucrative construction and coastal defense contracts. This attracts the attention of ambitious moguls like Victor Bannister, who stand to profit immensely from the ensuing chaos.
