David McCullough's impressive Pulitzer Prize-winning biography is the primary source of this much lauded miniseries. Viewers enter the life and times of Joh Adams as he defends participants in the Boston Massacre of 1770. Then we head with him to Europe as he represents the United States abroad. The seven part miniseries shows us his term as vice president under President Washington, his two terms as American president and his death fifty years after the founding of the Republic on July 4th, 1826. The acting is just as impressive as the gloriously thought out scenery and attention to historical detail.
