Invasion: Earth (1998)

Beneath a star-studded Scottish sky, Flt. Lt. Chris Drake (Vincent Regan) intercepts and destroys an alien craft, unknowingly triggering a cosmic chain of events. As Drake grapples with the fallout of his audacious act, Dr. Amanda Tucker (Maggie O'Neill) and her assistant Nick Shay (Paul Shay) are immersed in the universe's mysteries, scanning the night for extraterrestrial communications. Their search yields far more than anticipated, leading to the discovery of Lt. Charles Terrell (Anton Lesser), a soldier lost in time since 1945. Much to everyone's bewilderment, Lt. Terrell unravels his extraordinary tale of abduction by the peaceful Echo's and the chilling existence of the nD's, a malevolent species hell-bent on enslaving the Echo's for their dark ambitions. As Dr. Tucker corroborates Terrell's account with her own astronomical findings and the remnants of the alien craft, the terrifying possibility of an imminent invasion shakes the very foundations of their reality. Caught in the crossfire of this interstellar conflict are Major Gen. David Reece (Fred Ward) and his loyal squad, including Squadron Ldr. Helen Knox (Phyllis Logan). Despite their conviction about the existential crisis looming over Earth, they struggle to convince their superior officers of the impending catastrophe. With the shadow of the nD's invasion creeping closer, humanity's survival rests in the hands of these reluctant heroes, standing as Earth's last line of defense against an enemy they believe to be invincible.
