Plot

A chilling mystery unfurls across Japan, rooted in the horrifying tale of the Doizaki couple who gruesomely murdered their young daughter, her remains concealed beneath their home for 16 years. Toshiko Hagitani, an ordinary housewife, navigates this chilling narrative when she seeks out Shigeko Maehata, an employee at a modest editing firm. Toshiko proposes an extraordinary claim: her 12-year-old son Hitoshi possesses the uncanny ability to peer into the memories of others. As proof, she unveils a drawing by Hitoshi, a haunting portrayal of a pallid-faced girl in a house crowned with a bat-shaped weathervane, an eerie mirror of the infamous Doizaki incident. Intrigued yet skeptical, Shigeko ventures into a personal investigation, only to have it abruptly halted by Hitoshi's untimely death in a car accident. Simultaneously, the Doizaki's estranged second daughter, Seiko, learns from their attorney that her parents have severed all familial ties. As these storylines intertwine, a high school girl mysteriously disappears, adding another layer to this intricate web of suspense and intrigue.
