In the heart of Staten Island, New York, thrives the vibrantly chaotic life of Sean and Claudia Finnerty, an Irish Catholic couple juggling marriage, parenthood, and the unending series of misadventures that come with it. The Finnerty household is a whirlwind of laughter and mishaps, inhabited by their three lively children - Lily, Jimmy, and Henry - and frequently visited by Sean's mischievous brother Eddie, whose city-wide connections are often the catalyst for trouble. Adding to the family dynamic is Walt, Sean and Eddie's father, who never misses an opportunity to partake in the pandemonium. The family's troubles range from the mysterious theft of their family car, the baffling maxing out of Sean's credit card, to a Super Bowl Sunday plunged into darkness by Sean's antics. Each episode unravels these incidents, providing the Finnertys, and viewers, with a humorous exploration into exactly what happened.
