Plot
This is a fictional historical drama about five young idealistic Germans at the beginning of World War II. They believe Germany will win the war in a few months, and they can all meet again at Christmas. The series covers the different experiences each has when they have to face the horrors and cruelties of the war. Each, in turn, has to face betrayal, valor, loyalty and senseless killing and fighting to save Jewish friends. They aimed to become German heroes, but the reality was very different. They wonder who was able to achieve their dreams and who died in the effort.
