GATE (2015)

A mysterious portal opens in Ginza, Tokyo, and unleashes a horde of both monsters and medieval soldiers into the modern city. And when the Japanese Defense Forces manage to push back the invasion, they quickly follow it up by establishing a forwarding base on the other side of the Gate. Unfortunately, other nations envy Japan's access to this fantasy world and worry that it will give them access to technology and weapons that will destabilize the center of balance. Yōji Itami is simply a reserve officer with the JSDF, but his knowledge of the fantasy genre helps him excel in this other world.

GATE is an action show featuring Mutsumi Tamura and created by Takahiko Kyougoku.
