Plot

In the heart of the countryside nestles Doldam Hospital, a humble institution now under the reins of the enigmatic Dr. Kim Sa Bu, once a famed top surgeon at a colossal city hospital. A twist of fate led him to this rural sanctuary where he transformed lives, not least of which was Chairman Shin, whose successful operation breathed new life into the hospital's prospects. However, following the chairman's unexpected demise, the hospital faces the threat of a daunting future, with its key personnel gone and Dr. Kim's frail wrist acting up. "Dr. Romantic" is a riveting tale of resilience and rediscovery as Dr. Kim, despite his own physical ailment, ventures back into the intimidating corridors of a massive city hospital. His quest? To replenish Doldam Hospital's dwindling staff. Here, he stumbles upon two familiar faces, Seo Woo Jin and Cha Eun Jae, his former students, now seemingly lost in their medical careers. Woo Jin would trade his skills for money, while Eun Jae succumbs to fear every time she steps into an operating room. In this immersive tale of passion and perseverance, the question looms: Can Dr. Kim, the genius doctor, steer Doldam Hospital back to its glory with these two? Can he ignite the flame of "real romance" in their hearts, helping them rediscover their love for medicine and heal not only their patients, but also their own personal wounds? "Dr. Romantic" is a testament to humanity and healing, revealing the true essence of what it means to be a doctor, against a backdrop of professional challenges and personal demons.
