Plot

In the heart of North Korea, a young Park Hoon (Lee Jong-suk) and his illustrious doctor father are seized in a chilling kidnapping. Under the austere North Korean sky, Park Hoon is propelled into a life of medicine, trained by his father to become an extraordinary thoracic surgeon, his gifted hands shaping him into a genius of his craft. Amidst the harshness of his existence, Park Hoon finds solace in the captivating Jae Hee (Jin Se-yeon), a love that blooms in the confines of their high school years. However, their world shatters when Park Hoon's father tragically dies. Driven by desperation and the urge to escape, Park Hoon attempts to flee to South Korea with Jae Hee. But fate intervenes, tearing them apart. He reaches the shores of South Korea alone, haunted by the loss of contact with Jae Hee, yet fuelled by the burning need to find her. In South Korea, Park Hoon starts anew, his talent finding a home in the esteemed Myungwoo University Hospital. Here, he encounters a woman with an uncanny resemblance to Jae Hee - the enigmatic Doctor Han Seung Hee. Denying any knowledge of Park Hoon, she remains an enigma, her presence a constant reminder of his past. As events unfold, she is revealed to be entangled in a clandestine mission, linked to a man from North Korea whose animosity towards Park Hoon runs deep. Doctor Stranger traces the journey of Park Hoon, a man torn between two worlds, navigating the labyrinth of love, loss, and destiny. It's an intricate tapestry of gripping drama and medical mastery, where the boundaries of loyalty, identity, and the past blur, setting the stage for a riveting saga of heartbreak and hope.
