Plot
Daria was an animated sitcom that took place in the 1990s. It followed the life of Daria Morgendorffer, a teenage girl who was typically withdrawn, sullen, and vaguely amused by the behavior of those around her. Daria is a typical American teenager who has to deal with her family. This includes her overenthusiastic father, a controlling mother, and extremely annoying sister. Daria is shown as the perpetual "outsider," joined only by her friend Jane and their social group. The show perfectly captured much of the "you don't understand" ethos held by so many teens in the 1990s.
