Plot
In the regimented world of the military, a quiet and steadfast soldier, An Joon-Ho (Jung Hae-In), finds his unyielding nature catching the attention of the worn-out yet observant Sergeant Park Beom-Goo (Kim Sung-Kyun). Recognizing Joon-Ho's knack for detail, Park Beom-Goo transfers him to the D.P. (Deserter Pursuit) team, a unit dedicated to hunting down deserters.
As Joon-Ho navigates his new role, he forms a unique partnership with Park Beom-Goo and the quick-witted Corporal Han Ho-Yeol (Koo Gyo-Hwan). Despite his constant fatigue, Park Beom-Goo never fails to guide Joon-Ho and Ho-Yeol, his gruff exterior masking his insightful care for his team. Ho-Yeol, on the other hand, oscillates between providing Joon-Ho with invaluable investigative insights and playfully irking him.
Amidst this unconventional camaraderie, they operate under the indifferent gaze of First Lieutenant Im Ji-Seob (Son Seok-Koo), a man consumed by his single-minded pursuit of military success, showing little regard for the D.P. team. Amidst the backdrop of discipline and defiance, 'D.P.' weaves a tale of duty, desertion, and the bonds formed in the most unlikely of places.
