Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome (2012)

The roots of the intergalactic war between humans and the mysterious and robotic cylons are explored in this origin story. It's ten years into the First Cylon War, and Ensign William Amada is looking to prove himself as a fighter pilot. But while he's disappointed to be placed in charge of a freighter instead, but he's intrigued when he discovers that their initial mission involves carrying a civilian scientist named Dr. Becca Kelly. An extraordinary change in circumstances leave Amada questioning not just his superiors but also the world he knows, and that makes him a threat to some very dangerous people.
