Plot
This is the story of a man, Chip Baskets, trying to live his dream of being a classically trained professional clown in Paris without much success. He joins a famous clown school in France, but through various challenges, mainly the lack of knowing the French language and financial problems, he is forced to quit and go back to his childhood home in Bakersfield, California. He has to confront his past and re-enter his family dynamic. He is not very happy competing with his siblings and trying to please his mother, but he does find some solace in being a rodeo clown.
