Kang Ha Ri (Kim Joo Hyun), is the first 'sister'. Endowed with a radiant personality that outshines her humble part-time jobs at a stationary store and nail shop, she is a beacon of vibrancy. The second 'sister', Min Deul Re (Jang Seo Hee), is a faded star, a once sought-after actress grappling with the harsh reality of an industry that prizes youth over talent. Kim Eun Hyang (Oh Yoon Ah), the final 'sister', is a picture of chic elegance. She once graced the corporate world as a secretary, but now dedicates her life to raising her daughter.
Drawn together by their shared sorrow, these three women rally around each other, navigating the tumultuous seas of loss. Their collective healing journey leads them to jointly raise a young girl, injecting a precious spark of joy into their lives. Their circle widens to include Seol Ki Chan (Lee Ji Hoon from Go Ho's Starry Night), a man with an orphanage upbringing, and Yang Dal Hee (Kim Da Som, aka Dasom from SISTAR), a charismatic, clever girl who has a habit of spinning tales and despises the shackles of poverty.

Directed by Choi Hyeong Hun, known for his work on Second to Last Love, and penned by Kim Sun Ok (Temptation of an Angel), 'Band of Sisters' promises to be a moving exploration of friendship, resilience and healing. Also known as "Unni is Alive" and "Sister is Alive," the show premiered on April 19, 2017, on DramaFever with two weekly Wednesday episodes.
