Plot
As the head writer of one of America's most famous weekly sketch comedy shows, Liz Lemon has little time for a personal life. But to some extent, Liz uses the job as an excuse to neglect developing a social life. While managing the egos of her two stars — Tracy Jordan and Jenna Maroney — and wrangling the writer's room is plenty exhausting in her own right, she also has to contend with the interference of Jack Donaghy. He sees his new job as the executive vice president for NBC as a stepping stone for his next career path, but he's willing to take Liz Lemon under his wing in the process.
