In the heart of Tokyo, newlyweds Kenichi and Teiko Uhara find themselves separated just a week into their marital bliss. Kenichi, freshly promoted at Hakuho Ad Agency, embarks on a brief business expedition to Kanazawa, his former stomping grounds, leaving Teiko to establish their new home solo. His journey is shrouded in mystery when he fails to return on the anticipated day, leaving both personal and professional circles in the dark about his whereabouts. The enigma of Kenichi's disappearance prompts Teiko to involve the police, with sporadic assistance from her mother, Kenichi's relatives, and Mr. Honda, a former subordinate and the new manager at the Kanazawa branch.
