Plot

In the heart of Tokyo, newlyweds Kenichi and Teiko Uhara find themselves separated just a week into their marital bliss. Kenichi, freshly promoted at Hakuho Ad Agency, embarks on a brief business expedition to Kanazawa, his former stomping grounds, leaving Teiko to establish their new home solo. His journey is shrouded in mystery when he fails to return on the anticipated day, leaving both personal and professional circles in the dark about his whereabouts. The enigma of Kenichi's disappearance prompts Teiko to involve the police, with sporadic assistance from her mother, Kenichi's relatives, and Mr. Honda, a former subordinate and the new manager at the Kanazawa branch. As Teiko delves into the search for her missing husband, she stumbles upon the striking truth of her limited knowledge about Kenichi's life, particularly the past eighteen months and his relationships in Kanazawa. Teiko's quest for answers leads her down a path of unveiling secrets and confronting the uncomfortable realities about her husband's past, which she had been oblivious to. Even Kenichi's alleged best friends, Mr. & Mrs. Murota, can only share how Kenichi grew increasingly introspective as their wedding neared, providing little clarity about his disappearance. Embarking on a tense journey to piece together the enigmatic puzzle of Kenichi's life, Teiko is determined to unearth the truth behind her husband's mysterious disappearance, unraveling a captivating tale of love, secrets, and the unknown.
