In the heart of a bustling New York City, nineteen-year-old Bernard Chanticleer finds himself entangled in an intricate web of parental control, romantic longing, and a desperate yearning for independence. Having lived a life of extreme shelter under the wings of his wealthy yet overbearing parents, Bernard's world is turned upside down when his domineering librarian father, I.H. Chanticleer, with a simple declaration of "Grow up," decides it's time for his son to be a "big boy" and live on his own.
