Plot

In the poetic rhythm of iambic pentameter, 'Yes' paints a tale of two souls yearning for connection amidst the cold-hearted world. Our heroine, a dedicated scientist, is shackled within the loveless confines of a marriage to Anthony, an ambitious yet deceitful politician. Our hero, a Lebanese physician, has forsaken his homeland, finding solace in the humble role of a chef in a London eatery. Their paths intertwine at an opulent banquet, sparking a whirlwind romance that thrives on carefree passion. But the biting scorn he encounters as a Muslim immigrant in the UK drives a wedge between them. With little explanation, he severs their bond and retreats back to his homeland. She, in her relentless pursuit of understanding, teases out his reasons, striving to empathize. With the void of his absence profoundly felt, she seeks solace under the sun-kissed skies of Havana, finding herself amidst the sands of its beaches and the pulsating rhythm of its cabarets. A ticket is sent his way, a silent plea for reconciliation, but she nurses no illusions of him joining her in this vibrant Caribbean paradise...
