In the heart of an unyielding societal structure, a wary foreigner, Onimaru, dares to infiltrate the community's core, bringing with him the forbidden allure of the profane woman, Kinu. Their tale is a mirror reflecting George Bataille's provocative perspective, where the divine and the wicked are not at odds but instead entwined in a defining dance. As if in a dance, Onimaru and Kinu pursue their forbidden love, finding a sense of absolution in their shared outcast status and audacious defiance. Yet, the rhythm of their dance is disrupted by the unflinching second generation, who, in their quest for legitimacy, cast out these disruptive elements. The film culminates in a poignant self-annihilation, a tragic echo of their disruptive existence.
