Plot
A dog catcher receives a call that makes him late to pick up his wife. It's his birthday. She was browsing in a book store and found a novel with a blood-red cover. It is a murder mystery with numerology. It constantly loops around the number 23. Walter reads the story and becomes entwined with it. He dreams about it and notices a lot of coincidences. He stays in the hotel and room where the story takes place and starts to think that it is all real. His wife and child try to calm him. Soon he realizes the truth.
