In the vibrant yet unforgiving jungles of Manila, Carol "Jeff" Jeffries, a guileless American woman, finds herself ensnared in a web of treachery and deceit, framed by her malevolent drug-dealing boyfriend, Rudy. This innocent abroad is plunged into the heart of darkness, trapped behind the high, imposing walls of a Philippine prison known chillingly as Devil's Island. Jeff's world is upended as she confronts the brutal reality of her grim surroundings, overseen by the prison's tyrannical warden, the sadistic Alabama, whose reign of terror casts a long, ominous shadow over the inmates. In this realm of everyday horror, Jeff becomes a beacon of hope amid the despair, enduring the daily onslaught of humiliation, torture, and ruthless attempts on her life.
