Where Truth Lies (1996)

In the wake of his cherished wife Wendy's demise, psychologist Dr. Ian Lazarre spirals into an abyss of alcoholism. His second wife, Teresa Lazarre, has abandoned him in his darkest hour, but with the help of his loyal friend and attorney, Joe McNamara, they persuade a reluctant Ian to seek treatment. They guide him to the enigmatic Blackhurst Institute, where the intriguing Dr. Vernon Renquist introduces Ian to a novel experimental therapy, ably assisted by the compassionate nurse Racquel Chambers and the robust James. However, amidst the sterile walls of the institute, Ian's sanity starts to crumble. His demeanor turns hostile, his thoughts delusional, as he becomes convinced that Dr. Renquist's groundbreaking therapy is wreaking havoc on his mind. Moreover, a gnawing suspicion festers within him that his wife Teresa and trusted friend Joe are entangled in a clandestine affair.
