When Time Expires (1997)

Once a revered time trouble-shooter, Travis Beck has been reduced to performing mundane tasks for the bureau of time statistics and calibration. His latest assignment seems deceptively simple: travel back in time to a small, inconspicuous town on the Nevada desert fringe and calibrate a timepiece by inserting a quarter into a meter. However, the mission takes an unruly turn right from the outset when he unexpectedly materializes, bereft of clothing, before a startled woman named June Kelly in the middle of the desert, miles away from his destination. The bizarre nature of his assignment takes on a more ominous tone when Bill Thermot, his ex-partner, mysteriously appears, claiming to be there for his protection. A shroud of suspicion thickens when he learns June's father, Walter Kelly, is a retired time trouble-shooter, who warns Travis of a lethal team of assassins led by the ruthless Rifkin Koss, hell-bent on terminating Travis's mission, and possibly his life. Trapped in a fatal game of cat and mouse, Travis must unravel the enigma surrounding this seemingly trivial event in a forgotten town. As the clock ticks relentlessly, he must decide how to guard the future, making his seemingly routine assignment a thrilling race against time. The question is - can he outwit his pursuers and complete his mission before time expires?
