Plot

In the heart of affluence, medical professor Komiya and his domineering wife, Tokio, find their lives upended by the arrival of their vivacious niece, Setsuko, straight from the lively streets of Osaka. Setsuko's free spirit defies societal norms as she indulges in adult pleasures, like smoking, despite her youthful age. When the mundane routine of a Saturday golf game does not appeal to Professor Komiya, he surreptitiously leaves his golf bag at his student Okada's apartment, choosing instead the alluring ambiance of a bar. Setsuko, ever the spirited sleuth, tracks him down, leading to an unexpected and lively soiree at a geisha house. As the evening descends into tipsy revelry, Komiya cleverly hands off the intoxicated Setsuko to Okada for a safe journey home, while he finds solace in slumber at Okada's place. A web of suspicion slowly wraps around Tokio as she spots Okada escorting Setsuko home, and her brow furrows deeper when she unearths her husband's untouched golf gear, igniting an intriguing tale of mistrust and misunderstanding.
