Plot

In the verdant expanses of the English countryside, hidden beneath a blanket of towering grass, lies a warren of rabbits. Among them, Fiver, a nervously intuitive rabbit, confides in his brother Hazel about his foreboding dreams of devastation. Propelled by these nightmarish visions, they undertake the monumental task of leading their brethren on a perilous pilgrimage, their destination: the rumoured safe haven of Watership Down Hill. Inspired by Richard Adam's acclaimed novel, this animated odyssey plunges us into the unexpectedly brutal universe these creatures inhabit. Their quest for a sanctuary, free from oppression and the destructive touch of mankind, is fraught with unforeseen dangers. Not only do they face the relentless pursuit of ravenous predators, but also the crushing weight of betrayal, and the looming shadow of humanity's lethal arsenal. Their path is treacherous, the journey arduous, weaving a tangled web of harrowing trials around the courageous furry explorers. And yet, the greatest threat they face lurks at the end of their journey. General Woundwort, the fearsome warren chief, stands as the final barrier between them and their dreamed future. Will the promised utopia of Watership Down Hill be the safe refuge they envision, or is there a sinister reality behind its idyllic facade? This tale of survival serves as a reminder of the resilience of life, the power of unity, and the high price of freedom.
