Waterhole #3 (1967)

In the dusty aftermath of the Civil War, Sergeant Foggers and his Confederate comrades seize a bounty of army gold bullion, their audacious heist also ensnaring an unfortunate Ben Akajnian as their hostage. Under the scorching desert sun, they bury their ill-gotten treasure near a secluded waterhole, their plan seemingly foolproof. As the winds of fate would have it, the suave professional gambler, Lewton Cole, crosses paths with one of the robbers. A deadly duel ensues, leaving Cole the victor and the inheritor of a treasure map etched with secrets of the desert. Seeking refuge in the quaint town of Integrity, Cole's cunning sees him lock Sheriff Copperud in his own jailhouse, steal his horse, and even find time for a dalliance with Billee, the sheriff's captivating daughter. The enraged Sheriff eventually captures Cole, seizing the gold in a twist of justice. However, the desert has more tales to tell. Sergeant Foggers and his remaining accomplice stage a daring ambush, reclaiming their golden prize and setting Cole free. The stage is set for a wild ride of deception and adventure, where gold lust fuels every turn, and no one can be trusted.
