WarHunt (2022)

In the ominous year of 1945, a US military cargo plane traverses the foreboding skies above Germany's Black Forest. A sudden, unexplainable flurry of crow feathers envelops the aircraft, causing it to lose control and descend violently into the heart of enemy territory. The plummeting airmen catch a fleeting glance of the feathers coalescing into a Mysterious Woman in Black, a chilling harbinger of the horrors that await them. The crash's echo barely fades before the relentless Major Johnson, embodied by Mickey Rourke, dispatches a squad of his most courageous soldiers to salvage the classified cargo lost in the wreckage. Guided by the resilient Sergeant Brewer, played by Robert Knepper, and the resourceful Walsh, portrayed by Jackson Rathbone, the unit embarks on a perilous journey into the depths of the forest. The soldiers, unprepared for the grim sight that confronts them, discover a ghastly tableau of hanged Nazi soldiers and other lifeless bodies marked with archaic, magical symbols. An eerie silence ensues as their compasses falter, their senses distort, and the boundaries of reality blur. Isolated from the group, the soldiers encounter an overpowering, supernatural force that threatens to consume their sanity, forcing them into a desperate fight for survival. As the haunting echoes of their own screams hang heavy in the air, the soldiers must uncover the chilling truth behind the supernatural force. They are thrust into a race against time to stay ahead of the Nazis and eradicate all traces of its existence - a mission they must complete even if the price to pay is their own lives. The feared Black Forest, steeped in ancient magic and unspoken terrors, becomes a battlefield where the soldiers must confront not just the enemy, but their own worst nightmares. In the face of profound horror, their courage, loyalty, and humanity are put to the ultimate test.
