Village of the Giants (1965)

In the quiet humdrum of suburban life, an adolescent prodigy known as Genius stumbles upon a groundbreaking chemical concoction in an explosive experiment. He dubs the resultant substance 'goo', a mysterious matter that, when consumed, triggers an astounding growth spurt, transforming ordinary beings into towering giants. As Genius, his protective older sister Nancy, and her ambitious boyfriend Mike grapple with the repercussions of this scientific marvel, they envision its potential to eradicate the world's food crisis by super-sizing livestock, a scheme teeming with the promise of untold wealth. However, their utopian vision is disrupted when their colossal pet ducks, beneficiaries of the goo's transformative powers, escape and invade a local teen club, setting off a chain of events that draw the attention of a roughneck gang of outsiders, led by the boisterous Fred. Intrigued and motivated by greed, this unruly band is determined to seize the chemical formula, hoping to outpace Mike for the lucrative bounty it promises. While Genius feverishly attempts to replicate the elusive goo, Fred and his crew manage to pilfer it and, succumbing to peer pressure, they ingest it. Their newfound gigantism fuels a delusion of invincibility, prompting them to believe they can mold the world to their whims. The town descends into chaos, with Mike and the local teenagers playing reluctant hosts to these intimidating giants. As Genius grapples with his inability to recreate the growth formula, he stumbles upon an unexpected alternative. Amidst the pandemonium, Mike must devise a strategy to restore peace and reestablish order in the face of Fred's towering tyranny, all while navigating the unpredictable rollercoaster of life, love, and giant ducks.
