Plot

In the heart of Delbert County, twelve-year-old Travis Barclay and his young sister Whitney find themselves reluctantly spending their summer on their grandparents' farm. Their tranquil country life is threatened by the shadow of the insatiable land developer, Norm Blandsford. His avarice is slowly eroding the town, stripping the hardworking residents of their homes and their livelihoods. When Travis crosses paths with one of Blandsford's men, he is pursued into the forest's depths where he discovers a magical portal. This mystical gateway leads him to a hidden world, a realm where the legendary Paul Bunyan resides in self-imposed exile. Bunyan, a towering figure of American folklore, along with his faithful blue ox, Babe, has receded from the public eye for a century, feeling redundant in the face of the modern world's machinery. Reluctantly, Bunyan guides Travis back to the farm, only to witness the extent of Blandsford's malevolent scheme. A dormant sense of purpose ignites within the giant and his ox, propelling them into an unexpected adventure. Alongside their new allies, Travis and Whitney, Bunyan and Babe stand against Blandsford's merciless ambition. "Bunyan and Babe" weaves a tale that transcends the boundaries of size and time, demonstrating that heroism and bravery are not confined to the big and mighty. It is a vibrant reminder that even the smallest among us can rise to do great things when faced with adversity.
