Plot

In the wake of his wife Audrey's passing, John Munn retreats to the tranquility of rural Drees County, Georgia, along with his two sons, the rebellious mid-teen Chris and the frail adolescent Tim. They find solace in the humbling labor of their pig farm, an existence that has estranged them from their maternal grandparents. Amid the solitude and the simmering discontent of Chris, who is often at odds with the law and burdened with an undue share of farm work due to Tim's delicate health, a forgotten family member re-emerges. Deel Munn, John's estranged brother, reappears after a stint in prison, a man whose existence was unbeknownst to the boys. Despite the emotional chasm formed by Audrey's death and Deel's imprisonment, John opens his arms to his brother, hoping to mend the fractures of the past and offer his sons a glimpse of their sparse family. However, the seemingly peaceful period is short-lived as old wounds refuse to heal and dark intentions surface. The boys are thrust into a chilling reality when they discover that Deel's motives extend far beyond familial bonding. Their home, once a refuge, becomes a battleground of old feuds, hidden betrayals, and a desperate fight for survival. As their father departs for work, leaving them under Deel's watchful eyes, the tension reaches a boiling point. The boys find themselves on the run, their lives irrevocably altered by a family secret that threatens to consume them. Their journey is a testament to resilience and the unbreakable bond of brotherhood, as they navigate through the undertow of their family's dark past.
