Drunken Master (1978)

Wong Fei-Hung has a good heart, but his childishly stubborn demeanor means that he can be frustrating to the people he loves. When Wong's dad has finally had enough of him, he hires a capable older martial artist named Beggar So to train his son in the martial arts and teach him some discipline. Wong initially wants nothing to do with the harsh regimen that Beggar demands of him — but when he finds himself physically humiliated by another man, he returns to Beggar pleading to let him train. It's a decision that he'll come to question repeatedly once the training begins.
