Plot
In the heart of the bustling 1938 Los Angeles, the prestigious Culver Hotel undergoes a sudden shift in management for a weekend, landing under the unpredictable control of the original manager's nephew. With a wild surge of spontaneity, he rebrands it as the Hotel Rainbow, unknowingly setting the stage for a whirlwind of chaotic events.
Bursting at the seams with an array of eclectic guests, the hotel becomes a melting pot of eccentricity and intrigue. The illustrious roster includes a visiting dignitary, a covert CIA agent, a shadowy Nazi spy, and a troupe of curious Japanese tourists. But, the true stars of this unusual ensemble are the lively munchkins from the upcoming epic, The Wizard of Oz (1939), who bring a splash of color and whimsy to the unfolding drama.
In the midst of this chaotic carnival of personalities, an unexpected romance blossoms. Bruce Thorpe, a steadfast Secret Service agent, and Annie Clark, a dynamic casting director, find themselves drawn to each other. Amidst the swirling vortex of confusion and mischief, their romance adds a touch of sweetness to the unfolding pandemonium.
Under the Rainbow spins a tale of unexpected encounters and unlikely alliances, of secrets whispered in shadowy corners and love found in the most unusual of places. The transformed hotel becomes more than just a place of rest; it becomes a stage for a weekend of unforgettable incidents and eccentric characters, each with their own story to tell.
