Fresh off the set of his latest silver screen triumph, cowboy star Roy returns to his sprawling ranch, primed to broadcast an event marking his decade-long romance with cinema. Upon arrival, he discovers his ranch hand, Cookie, has enlisted his kin for support, save for Caroline, the horse whisperer who stands out from the Cookie clan. News reaches Roy of a band of outlaws hunting range horses, compelling him to enforce a strict hunting ban on his terrain. However, the plot thickens as Pop, driven by avarice, hatches a plan to kidnap Roy's cherished horse, Trigger, demanding a staggering $100,000 ransom. Meanwhile, McFarland's wayward stepson, Ted, alongside his faithful four-legged companion, Tramp, seeks refuge in the shadowy corners of Roy's barn. As the ranch falls deeper into chaos, a cunning trap is laid to ensnare the unscrupulous horse-nappers.
