High Noon (1952)

Town Marshal Will Kane takes his job seriously, seriously enough that he's willing to square off against a gang of outlaw killers at high noon. Both Will's newlywed wife and the rest of the townsfolk try to convince him to back down, but Kane refuses to let the town fall under the sway of common thugs. And there are personal stakes. The gang's leader, Frank Miller, was put away by Will years ago, and he's willing to take his personal feud out on anyone who gets in his way. Kane will have to make a choice between his sense of honor and the people he cares about.
