Plot

In the world-weary underbelly of suburbia, a rebellious high school dropout named Maria Coughlin finds her life spiralling into chaos. The revelation of her unplanned pregnancy serves as the chilling crescendo of her adolescent struggle, a confession so shocking it causes her father's fatal collapse. Abandoned by her parents and rejected by her boyfriend, Maria is left to face the harsh realities of life, alone and pregnant. Meanwhile, Matthew Slaughter, a bright yet underachieving high school graduate, battles his demons. Despite possessing a remarkable knack for mending electronic devices, his uncompromising stance on quality keeps him from holding down a job. His tense relationship with his demanding, obsessive-compulsive father further fuels his frustration, leaving him equally lost and adrift in life's turbulent sea. In the midst of their individual crises, destiny nudges Maria and Matthew into an unexpected encounter. Recognizing their shared desperation, Matthew extends an offer of help to Maria, setting the stage for an unconventional alliance. As they navigate the labyrinth of their troubled lives together, an intricate relationship begins to bloom. Despite the odds, they find solace in their shared struggle, sparking a transformative journey of self-discovery and change. However, their path isn't devoid of obstacles, and their journey together proves to be far from simple. "Trust" paints a poignant picture of two disenfranchised souls grappling with life's harsh lessons, exploring the power of connection and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
